Here is the history of the upcoming launch of One Pearl Bank at Outram MRT station, probably in mid 2019.

This project is being built on the site of the former Pearl Bank Apartments, a 99 year leasehold site spanning 8,000 square metres (equivalent to 86,000 sq ft). Not a very large site, as sites go in Singapore.

Anyway, this parcel of land was sold to CapitaLand for SGD$728 million on 13 February 2018, in a collective sale. It was the 3rd attempt at a collective sale by the proprietors of the property, the first two having been in August 2007 and February 2008, but both were unsuccessful.

Capitaland intends to build a new high-rise on the site with around 800 residential flats, to be called the One Pearl Bank condo.

The One Pearl Bank development will be a landmark. It couldn’t be anything else, given its illustrious history. Capitaland’s idea is to develop this as a high-rise tower that will outdo the peak of Bukit Timah Hill, to take full advantage of the views around this part of Singapore that go all the away south to the port, and the sea views around Sentosa.

Anyway, the One Pearl Bank showflat will likely only launch for viewings soon. It should be worth looking at, as Capitaland has a penchant for getting in brand name architects to tackle their developments, especially high-profile ones like this.
